The History of M.L. Halle Oil in Manchester, NH
Marcel Halle, our company's founder, was a steamfitter by trade. He started his oil business sort of by accident after he received an oil truck in trade for work he had performed. Marcel continued working as a steamfitter during the day and delivered oil at night.
Aside from a setback during the oil embargo, the company has continued to grow and prosper over the years. Marcel’s sons, Roland and Mark, both eventually joined the business. Roland stayed on for about 12 years before he left to join the Steamfitters Union. Mark started in 1975, after college. The company had a large plumbing business at that time, so Marcel ran the plumbing operations while Mark took over the oil side. In 1994, Mark purchased the business from his father.
Today, M.L. Halle Oil has a fleet of 11 delivery trucks and five service vans to serve the Greater Manchester area. The company is located on Lincoln Street in Manchester, where it has been since 1976.
